So St. Maarten is partly French and Partly Dutch and here’s how they divided it: they put the Frenchman on one side of the island and the Dutchman on the other and they were supposed to walk until they met and that would be the border. The French part is bigger because supposedly the Frenchman was walking with a bottle of wine and the Dutchman was walking with a bottle of rum, which was so strong that he had to take a nap while walking. It’s good to go on a guided tour :) \
The 50 min bus drive from the dockyard to Hamilton is breathtaking. And how nice that one local who saw me with a camera asked: "are you taking photos to show to your friends at school?" I didn't know I look THAT young! :) Learnt some marijuana facts on the bus, and then admired the Hamilton Waterfront fashion show (pic 3). I made a wish and I am looking forward to a joyful and prosperous future :) Oh, and my absolute favorite chat with the bus driver: "Where are you from?" "Poland." "Where's that?"
The Devil's Island below is where the Bermuda triangle begins! But as one local told me: "the only triangle we believe in here in Bermuda is a man, his wife and another girl!". Ok! Second pic are low income houses, imagine the high income ones! Then fish and beautiful clear water and finally the ship - at home.
